About Me
Annie Dawid writes and makes art in the Wet Mountain Valley of South-Central Colorado after retiring early from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon, where she was Professor of English and directed the creative writing program for 15 years. Her third book, AND DARKNESS WAS UNDER HIS FEET: STORIES OF A FAMILY, was most recently reviewed in Jewish Book World, Winter 2009. It won the Litchfield Review Award for Short Fiction and was a finalist in the Indie Book Awards in the Short Story category. DARKNESS as well as Annie's other two books, LILY IN THE DESERT: STORIES and YORK FERRY: A NOVEL, are available on amazon.com and other venues. This summer she will be conducting a weekend workshop at the Taos Summer Writers conference. In addition to teaching workshops, Annie runs a writer's retreat in Silver Cliff, Colorado.
